General Information & Policies

  •  Thank you for selecting us for your party. All the money raised helps us to provide the best food and care for our animals and we really appreciate it!

  •  We close the ranch during your party, so it will just be you and your guests and our staff.

  • We have limited parking right next to the party area.  That is for you to park to make setup and packup easier.  If you have any guests with mobility issues, they can park by the party area as well.

Important policies to be aware of

  • You can arrive up to one hour early and must be off property by 30 minutes after your event.

    • There is a $50 charge for staying more than 30 minutes past the event.  Staff will help you setup and cleanup.

  • No balloons - they scare the horses.

  • No open flames like sternos.  Birthday candles, BBQ, food trucks are ok.

  • We count every child on property, whether they ride a horse or not.  A child is anyone that can walk, up to and including 15 year olds.  â€‹In other words infants are not counted, but toddlers are.

    • The parties are at least two hours long.  Horse riding for each kid is a small portion of that.  The rest of the time is with all the other animals, goats, chickens, bunnies, donkeys, pigs and more.  Toddlers require extra attention and more work than older children which is why we charge for them.  Thank you for understanding.

  • Can adults and people over 16 ride at the parties?

    • If the horses are still doing well after the children finish, absolutely and with no extra charge. Our first concern is to keep the horses happy and healthy and not overwork them.  After all the children ride, if anyone over 16 would like to and the horses are still feeling good they are welcome to ride :)

    • Horse weight limit is 200 pounds

    •

Guest instructions

  • Our address is 13740 Calle Seco, Poway, CA 92064. **Google has the wrong address so please make sure to communicate this to your guests. We are working to try to get it corrected, but it’s not easy**

  • Parking is in a cul-de-sac with a dumpster and a basketball court. We will meet the guests from 15 minutes before start time until 15 minutes after start time, to walk them to the party area.

  • Children can wear shorts or long pants. Either are good for horseback riding.  If your child has sensitive skin, long pants are recommended though almost everyone does fine in shorts.

  • Close toed shoes, like sneakers or boots are necessary.  The children will be around large animals and sandals, flip-flops, crocs, etc.. are not a good idea.

  • Dress for the weather.  Hats and sunscreen are always a good idea.

  • We have an indoor restroom onsite.

7 Days before

  • Time to finalize the number of children that will attend and last chance to adjust duration of the party.
